Camp CommUNITY
June 14 to 18, 2010
Formerly Anytown Texas, this annual diversity leadership retreat is for entering high school
juniors and seniors in Tarrant County. Camp CommUNITY is designed to educate Delegates
to be responsible leaders and social change advocates in our diverse community. Each year
students come together a five-day residential camp to heighten personal awareness, build
meaningful friendships and promote positive social change. Camp CommUNITY provides
Delegates with a place to voice opinions, create experiences, and belong.
Be yourself, Be heard, Belong at Camp CommUNITY
“I liked how powerful some of the more serious programs were, and how
even though we learn a lot, we still manage to have fun.”
- Camp CommUNITY Delegate
“I learned so much about other cultures and what they are going through. It
gave me confidence that I can make a difference”
- Camp CommUNITY Delegate
“I really enjoyed the energy and passion
that all the staff members display. I think it
helped set the tone and allow the
Delegates to get more out of the
experience.”
